Here are some of the trends we predict will become more important for brands messaging customers using WhatsApp in the next couple of years, and that Meta may touch upon during the conversations conference:

WhatsApp is expected to introduce more advanced commerce features, allowing businesses to conduct transactions directly within the app. This will include seamless integration with payment gateways, enabling customers to browse products, make purchases, and receive order updates all within a single conversation thread. In India and Brazil it's already possible to pay over WhatsApp (and WeChat in China is even more advanced). Europe will be the next to get this functionality.
